FOCUS

Automation · Enterprise AI

01 / BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Start with the problem.

Operations teams navigate disconnected vendor, inventory, and procurement information. Routine questions become multi-system searches, especially when timely decisions matter.

02 / SOLUTION APPROACH

A practical path forward.

The Enterprise Operations Copilot, presented here through its finance and supply chain use cases, brings four conversational domains into Microsoft Copilot Studio: vendor onboarding, storm logistics, purchase orders, and contract review.

Microsoft Copilot Studio handles the conversational topics. Power Automate supports workflow execution and approval routing. 04 / IMPLEMENTATION

From design to workflow.

01

Design conversational topics

Configured flows for vendor onboarding, storm logistics, purchase order creation, and contract review. Each flow captures context needed for the operational request.

02

Ground the conversation

Connected operational knowledge covering vendor records, work orders, inventory, shipments, and storm readiness. Responses make missing documentation, inventory shortages, and recommended actions visible.

03

Validate across domains

Tested end-to-end conversational flows in Microsoft Copilot Studio across four business domains. Power Automate supports execution and approval routing; Power Apps is a future integration in the original case study.

Design decisions & tradeoffs

Why a conversational copilot?+

A shared interface reduces the need to know which system holds each answer. Grounding and clear responses keep the interaction tied to operational information.

Why keep workflows visible?+

Vendor approval and procurement have process owners. The conversation should surface the next action and approval boundary.

08 / OUTCOMES

What the work demonstrates.

  • Built and validated conversational flows in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
  • Demonstrated vendor compliance and inventory-shortage responses.
  • Configured four operational domains in a shared copilot experience.

Built and validated in Microsoft Copilot Studio, as documented in the original portfolio. Public samples are simulated and do not query enterprise systems.

09 / INTERACTIVE DEMONSTRATION

Experience the pattern.

10 / REFLECTIONS

What I take forward.

  • Business context makes an answer actionable.
  • Recommendations should expose missing data and require review before consequential actions.
  • Topic design and prompt behavior need testing across realistic requests.
